Established in 1957, Sturbridge Service Center, Inc. has been providing continuous service to the motoring public and transportation companies non-stop, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Modern Communication Infrastructure

Power backup systems at all of our radio dispatch locations keep our trucks rolling in any weather condition. Also, our drivers carry alphanumeric pagers which facilitate the communication of last minute changes to recovery plans. In addition, our heavy duty recovery units are equipped with cellular phones to allow our customers to keep in constant contact with their disabled vehicles. These key technology features help us get to the rescue scene most effectively under any circumstances to provide the fastest service to our customers.

Sturbridge Service Center is an authorized contractor for the Massachusetts turnpike authority, Massachusetts state police, and a list of other local, state and federal agencies.

Hydraulic Towing and Heavy Hauling

As you can see in the photo at the top of the page, our modern fleet of hydraulic towing and wheel lift equipment can handle the most difficult rescue and recovery task with ease. Motor Coaches and tractor-trailer units are no problem as our capabilities are virtually unlimited in the recovery and hauling of your wrecked, disabled, or replacement equipment.

On-Site Repair Service

In addition to our ability to handle rollovers, jackknifes and off-road recovery, our road service department is fully equipped to handle heavy commercial vehicles with quick service and trained mechanics 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Emergency Response Unit

Our specialized recovery team handles aircraft, boats, and heavy earth moving equipment wherever the problem arises. Our fully-equipped Haz-Mat emergency response unit provides immediate assistance in the event of an environmental threat due to a transportation emergency. Trapped occupants of motor vehicles are soon freed by our rescue recovery team using the unit's Hurst "Jaws of Life." High angle rescue equipment is stocked on our rescue unit with a variety of other heavy duty rescue equipment.

Automobiles, trailers, heavy equipment, it's all within the reach of our fleet of flatbeds, tow trucks, and service vehicles. If you or your equipment is ever in trouble, we are the ones to call for immediate assistance.
